1. In second standard my class teacher told the class that I was brainwashed and was mad. She told other students to call me mad and not by my name. That year her husband died. I was so happy.

2. This teacher was a psychopath, if you give a wrong answer he will humiliate you by pulling hair of your nose out! His theory : ‘smack students boom boom, get knowledge soon soon’.

3. My Arts & Craft teacher in class 5th used to beat up the kids who did not bring their craft work. I was one of the kids who never brought anything craft related at all. I remember when her marriage took place and she came to school for the first time after her marriage and gave us a craft assignment. I like always did not bring the the assignment and i dont know what got into her, but she gave 3-4 slaps on my face and in the process some of her new bangles were broken. She started sobbing saying” tum logon ke chakkar mein meri nayi chooriyan toot gayi”. I stood there thinking wtf just happened.

4. I had a teacher who used to take our palm, place chalk in between each finger, and then squeeze the entire hand.

I wonder now why I and many others never said anything.

5. There used to be this scum maths teacher who used to carry a steel ruler. His idea for punishment (when you failed to do a sum) was to hit you in knuckles with the steel scale held sideways. You need not hit hard, more like a tap, but when steel hits bone, the sound it creates sends chill down your neck.

6. Grade 5 : Body shamed by skinny bitches teachers for being fat. Fuck you Archana mam, I love my curves. Also, you do not know how to spell ‘coffee’. Also, I am glad that you went on leave because your mother died.

7. Another one, there was a teacher who used to teach ‘Dhram Shiksha’ (DAV schooled students might know about this subject). He used to teach everyday that anger is a sin, but if you are not able to answer his questions he used to beat the hell outta you. I used to think what kinda phony he is, but I had my balls in my mouth whenever he was teaching.

8. Studied in a private school in West Delhi. The English teacher(40 something female) in 5th class used to punish the boys by making them wear girls’ scarves and applying lipstick on their lips or forehead. Punished girls by making moustaches using black marker! Was the class teacher and highly respected despite these things. I was lucky to escape all this, and didn’t mind it much then. Shudder to think about it now.

9. Principal – “Cane happy” crazy beast. Walked with a long cane. Anyone within the cane’s range would be thrashed. Drinking water, going to toilet, long hair, standing outside a straight line, talking loudly, anything deserved a sound thrashing. In a small town with thousand of kids and 3-4 good schools, he ruled like an emperor.

10. My first standard moral science teacher made me and another light-skinned kid stand up and told the entire class that I could never be like the other kid. She was telling a story about crow and a swan. I don’t exactly remember what the story was or why she did that. Strangely, being a dumb kid, it didn’t affect me at all 🙂

11. We had a female school teacher who would threaten boys that she would ”open their post-offices” as punishment in II Standard.

When someone forgot to bring a book to class, she would then grab them by their crotch and everyone else would laugh.

I am not lying or trolling. This used to happen and no one believed me back then. Never understood that it was wrong.

12. Whenever I answered a question he asked to the class. He used to call me taliban and Al Jazeera, my town didn’t have any other good school so I didn’t say anything. I am not the kind of person who keeps grudges, but Damm I would be lying if I still don’t keep this one.

Fuck you gopi

I never gave him the chance to beat me. I answered all his Fuckin questions.

13. My father’s Hindi teacher used to put the hand of the student being punished under a leg of a chair and sit on it for a few minutes.

14. This was in my 3rd grade, my temporary English teacher used to call us out roll number wise to hand out books, worksheets etc. I was a slightly effeminate little boy. She called out my number, I walked up to her took my book and came back to sit at my “assigned” place. She then yelled “Are you a girl or a boy?” I felt extremely embarrassed as the entire class burst out laughing. I muttered “boy” and then she said “Then behave like one”. I didn’t know what it meant to “behave like a boy”, I was and am a boy and was doing what I was doing. I’m 22 now, but this bit still bothers me. Sometimes a lot. I don’t know what to do. I guess I grew up seeking validation about my “masculinity” and started behaving overtly masculine to avoid anyone saying I’m effeminate. I still struggle with it to this day and I think it all started there.

15. 6th or 7th grade English teacher when I volunteered for class monitor “we don’t need people like you being monitors” .. not sure what she meant, but it hurt at the time  8th grade English teacher: slapped me hard enough that my specs flew across the class.. though the school did give me a weeks break, and fired him after that  Math’s tuition teacher:: refused to lock up her dog and I was constantly terrified it would bite me. Usually would sit under the chair also,so I needed to be hyper aware of my feet.
