In a shocking revelation captured on CCTV in Bangalore, a Zomato delivery agent has been caught red-handed engaging in theft while on duty. The footage, shared by Aditya Kalra, vividly depicts the delivery man completing a drop-off of one order and then, noticing another food package left at the same doorstep, surreptitiously pocketing it before departing.

“We caught @Zomato delivery theft on our CCTV camera in Bangalore. He delivers the order, spots our other food package at the door, quietly picks it up and goes away. Shocking indeed.”

Zomato’s response to this matter

Following the uproar sparked by the CCTV footage shared by Aditya Kalra, Zomato swiftly responded with an apology and a promise of decisive action. In their official statement addressing the incident, Zomato expressed regret over the unfortunate occurrence and emphasized their commitment to maintaining the highest standards of service and integrity.

They assured the public that stringent measures would be implemented to address the issue and prevent its recurrence. Their reply read as we quote,

Hi Aditya, we’re sorry that this happened. Please be assured that we take such matters very seriously, and we will take strict action against those responsible for such incidents. Please send us the order details via DM so that we can investigate this promptly.
